Mom took me to the park and I got to play in the fountain on the way home. During the farmer's market season, I don't get to play here. I guess Mom figured that we would have been wet anyway had it actually started raining during our walk home.
Mom and I worked on this project the other day. I want to make another one today. Mom said that maybe we can get to it! My favorite part of this one is the set of wings on top! (It's a macoroni box that we painted green!)
This is the art project my mom and I worked on this past Monday afternoon. Actually, Mom did her own art. I did this one completely on my own! It was so fun to paint a picture and have Mom and Dad be so proud of me!
I took my inspiration from SplashAnimals.com because I saw them paint at the San Diego Zoo while I was visiting my cousins.
The shirt, $3 from Goodwill.Pattern pieces made from existing pj bottoms, traced front and back. Pieces cut for the front and back. I usually use the side seam of the shirt for shorts, but these are a bit too long for that, so I had to sew up the sides on these. All done except the waist. I made sure to iron my seams all flat. Dana, from dana-made-it.com gave this great tip! They look so professional. I love these. They are bit big in the waist for my son, but he is growing so fast, no doubt they will fit him before winter time is over!
Nick found a katydid the other day and tried to catch it. He missed. But the next day, Daddy was able to nab him! Nick has been having so much fun finding food and messing with the poor thing. It's still alive so that's a good thing. Might let it go this weekend.
